In the University of Graz competition, 11 doctoral candidates from various disciplines will rise to the challenge and try to captivate the audience with entertaining and engaging presentations of their research.

What: 3MT Competition - University of Graz

Where: Literaturhaus Graz, Elisabethstraße 30, 8010 Graz
The 3MT Competition was developed by the University of Queensland (Australia).
The Graz event is hosted by the Doctoral Academy Graz and is the first stage of the European Coimbra Group 3MT competition.
Please note: In order to participate in the international Coimbra Group 3MT competition the presentations of the participants will be filmed, while the audience will not be visible on film. Further details will be provided at the event!

Markus Fallenböck has been dealing with the legal and economic implementation of digital transformation for more than 20 years. He is currently Vice Rector for Human Resources and Digitalization and University Professor for Technology and Innovation Law at the University of Graz. Before that he held management positions in the field of media and digitization for 20 years (evolaris, Styria, Iventa, Verlagsgruppe News).
Dietmar Tschmelak is managing program director at Radio Soundportal and also responsible for about 200 popcultural live events each year in the city of Graz. Radio Soundportal broadcasts a 24 hours program for a younger target audience including daily news & features for the big local student community (AirCampus in cooperation with Uni Graz).
Lisa Brunner is a university assistant at the University of Innsbruck. She pursued her studies in history and art history at the University of Salzburg and is currently working on her doctoral thesis. Beyond academia, she is a certified social media manager, giving scientific insights on her Instagram channel @weltinderstube.
