The 3 Minute Thesis (3MT) competition requires doctoral researchers to compete to deliver the best research presentation in just 3 minutes (and one slide).
How to apply: Send a mail to doktorat(at)uni-graz.at with your name + field of study + a summary of your doctoral thesis in three clear-cut sentences.
Application deadline: January 22, 2019.
Preparation for the event: On January 30, 2019 a preparational coaching will be provided for the selected contestants. SR 38.21, 3-8 pm.
The Event: The competition takes place on March 8, 2019, in the House of Literature Graz. An expert jury will choose the 3MT winner, the audience will select the winner of the People’s Choice award.
The Prize: 1000 Euro (and the chance to go to the 3MT finals in Krakow) for the 3MT winner, a non-monetary prize for the People’s Choice award.
2nd Round: The video of the winning presentation will be sent to an independent Coimbra Group jury. This jury nominates three finalists for the international Coimbra Group Three Minute Thesis Competition in Krakow (June 5–7, 2019).
