The doctoral program in natural sciences at the URBI Faculty teaches and promotes theoretical understanding and methodological skills for scientific work in the field of natural sciences. In the dissertation, doctoral candidates work independently on new scientific questions. The subject matter is animate and inanimate nature, which must be described, measured and explained. Special focuses are: Formulating hypotheses, designing experiments, analytical and quantitative methods, paradigms of logic, modelling and simulation, computer-aided data processing and visualization.
