Attention: During the additional application phases the documents will be checked according to time resources – therefore it cannot be guaranteed that a decision of the commission can be made within 8 weeks, or that the decision will be made in time before the end of the enrolment period.
Doctoral researchers expand and deepen their theoretical and methodological knowledge and skills in the field of law. In their dissertation, which can also deal with an interdisciplinary topic, they undertake the independent processing of new scientific questions. The aim of the doctoral program in law is to further develop the ability to conduct independent academic work and to train and promote young legal scholars. Doctoral researchers must be able to make a contribution to the further development of law through independent academic work.
