Writing Research Proposals in Academic English

In this helpful series of seminars, you will learn the process that is commonly used when writing an academic proposal in English. Participants will receive an introduction to the theory and practice of proposal writing, learn practical tips and techniques, and become familiar with the fine points of academic English used when writing a proposal. This seminar series has been designed for PhD candidates who are preparing to write their first research proposal and apply for funding.

The seminar is composed of seven (7) individual sessions which can be booked individually or as a complete series:

Throughout this seminar series, you will receive take-home techniques for writing/reading comprehension practice!

Sara Crockett is an American who has lived in Austria since 2004. After completing her studies in Botany (B.S., M.S.) and Pharmacognosy (Ph.D.), she pursued research for eight years in the field of Natural Products Chemistry at the University of Graz, Austria.  During this period, she published nearly 40 publications in peer-reviewed journals and successfully carried out two research projects (FWF).  In 2012, Sara began working as a freelance translator and copy editor and enjoying using her skills to support the efforts of researchers working at the universities in Graz (KFU, TU, Med Uni Graz) as well as artists, architects, non-profit organizations and associations in Graz.
